DARWIN HIGH SCHOOL
Darwin High School was formally established in 1956 in a set of makeshift buildings adjacent to the Darwin Higher Primary School on Woods Street. The relocation to the current Bullocky Point site began in 1963, with the official opening in 1966.
The school has been renovated and expanded several times to accommodate the growing student population, but the original modernist design is still apparent.
The Bullocky Point site has a rich and diverse history, dating back to the pre-colonial times when the Larrakia people used it as a camping and fishing ground.
