Ludmilla Primary School opened in 1967 and is one of the oldest schools in the Territory.
The school features beautiful breezeblock walls that shade glass facades and a central quadrangle that provides a shaded outdoor area for students.
The school has a history of being a primary shelter for the entire Darwin area after Cyclone Tracy in 1974. It was one of the few buildings in the region to withstand the category four cyclone and remain almost fully functional.
