Peter Dermoudy's 1979 Silo House responded to his families need for a cheap, fast cyclone-proof house.
Demoudy salvaged three abandoned steel silos once used to process uranium ore. The silos stack against each other in a clover-like formation, large enough to house five storeys and a pool.
Silo number one has a workshop, kitchen, children's, and main bedroom. Number two has a wine cellar, culture centre, family room, nursery, studio and roof deck. The third silo has a guest room, living room, children's bedroom and swimming pool.
Dermoudy lived in the house with his wife and three daughters.
